Job Overview

As such, Criteo is increasing its investment in its retailer facing business that helps clients manage all aspects of their ad and audience monetization programs, also known as Retail Media. This is the placement of brand advertisements within ecommerce sites and mobile applications of retailers, as well as brand and retailer specific ads offsite.

Criteo’s Retail Media division was created with the mission to be the technology platform that powers the most efficient and measurable retail media ecosystem for the world’s leading retailers and brands. We are the leader in Retail Media worldwide, with over 100 of the world top retailers and most of the top brands signed as clients globally.

Reporting to the EVP and GM, Retail Media and Supply, the MD Americas will be responsible for overall strategy, organizational structure, people leadership and development, budgets, and all financial outcomes and scorecard metrics for the Retail Media commercial team in the Americas.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and oversee daily operations for the Retail Media commercial team in the Americas
  • Directly manage the Retailer and Brand teams, including new business sales and account strategy teams, and sales support (current headcount of 200+ team members)
  • Develop and execute a strategy designed to build and grow the business
  • Forecast, lead and deliver revenue and profit targets
  • Coordinate the development of key performance goals for all functions and direct reports
  • Lead the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives
  • Oversee the quality and successful delivery of Retail Media’s offerings to customers
  • Engage strategically with key clients or targeted client activities
  • Lead and support all hiring and talent development programs

Who you are

  • A true sales leader DNA with a General Manager mentality and proven experience in Retail Media within adtech, martech or similar
  • Very strong senior leadership skills, with extensive experience leading high performing sales and account management teams
  • Strong track record of leading, motivating, recruiting, and retaining a large sales organization
  • Proven performance of consistently delivering business results in a high growth environment
  • Client-side sales and account strategy experience, across multiple verticals (retail, travel, CPG, finance)
  • Influential connections and relationships within the retail industry, and with major brands
  • Proven track record of prospecting and signing multi-million deals
  • Expert knowledge of advertising agencies, both on a holding company and operating agency level
  • Deep understanding of audience targeting and programmatic buying including the underlying implementation to successfully support the spectrum of technical requirements across the client life-cycle.
  • Experience building go to market strategy and executing with multi-product adtech or martech B2B companies
  • Ability to operate and influence in a matrix organization
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with product teams to develop and launch products including supporting POC, Alpha, Beta and Rollout programs
  • A strong technical aptitude with the ability to rapidly learn new technologies and take advantage of new concepts
  • Ability to work closely with product marketing and deliver best in class sales enablement materials
  • Experience managing complex, interdepartmental and global projects
